Presidents Day

Yesterday for Presidents Day we were able to participate in the 101st annual wreath laying ceremony at the George Washington Statue at the University of Washington.

Some 50 different organizations participated. Steven was able to lay the wreath in behalf of the William Devin Society of the Children of the American Revolution (CAR)

My Uncle Paul had the good camera. Once I get those pictures I can post some of them.
It was a good day. I even had some DAR ladies thank me for bringing my children. In my sarcastic way, I just smiled and said, "thank my afterward." But I do appreciate comments like that. Sometimes I become so self-conscience about the occasional rowdiness of my children I am hesitant to bring them to more formal events. But they were good and enjoyed the ceremony.
